1. Job Title: Document Controller and Planning Engineer

Job Ref.: 2024-27237
Location: Lagos
Contract type: Fixed-term-contract
Contractual hours: Full time
Contract duration: 11 months

Service Dimensions

  • Responsible for defining and implementing the strategy for Documentation Management System.
  • Monitor the function of EDMS for the ECP Packages for the 2024 AKPO FPSO FFSD.
  • Act as the EDMS/related tools focal person the ECP package for the 2024 AKPO FPSO FFSD.
  • Development and maintenance of structured documentation, Analyze technical documents and other documentation to develop a project schedule including report.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports.
  • To supervise project schedule development, maintenance, monitoring and progress status and reporting related to all ECP packages for the 2024 AKPO FPSO FFSD.
  • Confer with engineers, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to schedules and progress report data.

Activities

  • Carries out the EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) evolution needs.
  • Manages the use and delivery of EDMS related/typical tools within the entity.
  • Assist in the development and issue all necessary planning, scheduling and progress measurement and control procedures.
  • Work with all project disciplines to supervise and ensure understanding of total project schedule needs and integration of schedule activities.
  • Continuous vigilance to ensure all charges to Project Time (Schedule) Objectives is met.
  • Early advise to the Project leadership team in respect of schedule slippage (gap analysis).
  • Interface with project site management and site counterparts for specific planning and scheduling tasks.
  • Assist in providing full range of schedule development for all Project activities and progress reporting expertise.
  • Liaises with technical support in Headquarter for dedicated Entity requests.
  • Carries out all Local EDMS Administrative requirements such as creation of accounts, codes etc.
  • Liaises with IT on all issues relating to EDMS Server problems.
  • Advises and follows up on any deficiencies of EDMS and be the Entity focal point for all these issues

Qualifications and Experience

  • B.Sc in Management or Engineering or its equivalent.
  • 5 years’ Experience in Document Control or related field with at least 3 years’ Experience in Project environment and a recognized electronic document Management System.
  • 3 years’ Experience in project Planning
  • Experience with Planning and project management software such as Ms Project, Microsoft Office, and Primavera version 6 or higher.

Profile:

  • Ensure and manage good Document Management system with the use of TUCN prodom (EDMS) which allows a centralized information access and centralized archiving system.
  • Manages the use of EDMS within the locations to ensure efficiency.
  • Writes and reviews entity Document Management procedures
  • Ensure Effective and timely response to schedule control for the ECP 2024 AKPO FPSO FFSD team.
  • Regular contact with EDMS users for training and technical supports is also very important.
  • Job requires Technical competence in the use of EDMS and proficiency in PRIMAVERA and MS Projects
  • Ensures proper management of TUPNI Documentation.

2. Job Title: Construction Engineer at SPIE Oil & Gas Services

Job Ref.: 2024-27313
Location: Lagos (Onshore / Offshore)
Contract type: Fixed-term-contract
Contractual hours: Full time
Contract duration: 4 months

Job Dimension

  • Ensure onshore readiness of all 2024 FFSD related onshore fabrication and preparations related to the ECP scope.
  • Supervision of FFSD Contractor and Sub-Contractor onshore fabrication and preparations related to the ECP scope.
  • Responsible for the pre-mobilization preparation activities related to the ECP scope of the FFSD
  • Responsible for managing offshore supervison of all intervention and construction related activities for the EC scope of the FFSD.
  • Manages a multi-disciplinary technical team from contractor, offshore efficiently and in a good working spirit.
  • Provides onshore/offshore support to the ECP FFSD shutdown coordinator.

Mission

  • Follow up readiness of all onshore items (materials, personnel, pre-fabs and premobilization, etc) for all ECP major interventions and campaigns.
  • Organize and supervise day to day ECP FFSD interventions works offshore to ensure successful delivery.
  • Acts as the main point of contact of the ECP Contractor Site Representatives onshore and offshore.
  • Evaluates construction issues on the worksite with Contractor and contribute to their resolution at worksite level whenever possible.
  • Maintains offshore an updated register of all deviations and non-conformances and develop them into a punch list of items to be resolved where applicable.
  • Monitors the overall progress of the contractors against schedule, providing reporting on same to line management, highlighting the potential for slippage and propose remedial actions and signing contractor daily reports
  •  Perform site surveys to proffer solutions to site issues and provide inputs to preparation of Scope of works for fabrication and site construction activities.
  • Ensures contractors have viable schedules for their work, recognizing interfaces with other ongoing company activities.
  • Ensures that contractors maintain adequate records for all inspection and testing carried out.
  • Participates in all pre-commissioning activities in conjunction with contractors’ staff and company operations staff.
  • Maintains good relationships with FO/MTNC team, with DW-ECP teams and with Contractor(s), being flexible enough but also strict when necessary.
  • Assists in constructability reviews and the planning and scheduling of construction jobs.
  • Reports any site issue to ECP site Superintendent and maintain regular and efficient information to him.
  • Ensures that activities performed on site fulfil all HSE requirements.
  • Implements with Contractor Site Representative, Risk assessments for all activities and ensure identified mitigations are in place.
  • Ensures close Liaison with contractors and their sub-contractors, ensuring all permits to work are in place before the start of any campaign.
  • Reviews construction contractors’ work procedures; assess contractors’ personnel and equipment for suitability for the work.

Qualification and Experience

  • Candidates should possess an HND, B.Sc. / B.Eng in Mechanical / Piping Engineering or equivalents with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas construction activities,
  • Experience: Piping Site supervision, Installation, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning in an Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry preferably on an FPSO. Experience with Total FPSO in FFSD will be added advantage.

Profile:

  • Compliance with DW ECP HSE KPI & Objective and assist DW ECP in compliance with overall TUCN HSE requirement.
  • Ensures effective and timely response to construction activity and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Validates offshore construction works by ensuring that they are accurate and meet overall Statement of Requirement.
  • Ensures HSE values are well understood and are not breached under any circumstance while carrying out offshore construction activities on the FPSO.
  • Establishes accurate records keeping, project follow up and good progress reporting.

Required authorisations:

  • Piping Site supervision, Installation, Pre-commissioning and Commissioning in an Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry preferably on an FPSO. Experience with Total FPSO in FFSD will be added advantage.
