How to Check Your Admission List 2026/2027 (JAMB CAPS + School Portal)

Updated on 6 November 2026 · How we verify

Quick answer: Every valid admission appears on JAMB CAPS first; the school’s portal list is secondary. To check: efacility.jamb.gov.ng → Check Admission Status → Access my CAPS; then the school portal with your JAMB number. Lists come in batches (merit, supplementary, DE) from August to December; accept within four weeks of the offer.

Frequently asked questions

Is the admission list on JAMB or the school portal?

Both, but JAMB CAPS is authoritative; a name on the school list but not on CAPS is not a valid admission yet.

When do universities release admission lists?

First batches from August; supplementary lists through December.

What do I do after seeing my name?

Accept on CAPS, print the JAMB admission letter, pay acceptance fee, complete clearance.
